Patriots second-year offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt is making sure he does whatever he can to better himself for 2020.

The 2019 fourth-round pick out of Arkansas will be in Arizona this week for an offensive lineman training camp of sorts run by agent Joe Panos of Athletes First.

Other players attending are Miami’s Michael Deiter, Robert Hunt, and Austin Jackson; Dallas’ Tyler Biadasz; Baltimore’s Ben Bredeson; and Detroit’s Beau Benzschawel.

“I absolutely love it because I know, without sounding like a jerk, they're going to get trained right. If they can't be with their coaches, I’d like to think I know what I'm doing here," Panos, who has some coaching experience, told Albert Breer of MMQB. "I love the fact that I promised these kids and their parents that I’d take care of them to the best of my ability, that I'm gonna go above and beyond, and get them ready for the season.”

Players, who arrived Sunday night, will participate in their respective team's Zoom meetings in the morning, then lift, have lunch and finally get on the field in the afternoon to work on their techniques. Panos said he spoke to the offensive line coaches of the teams who have players participating to get a better sense of what they need to work on.

“I get really excited about this,” Panos said. “I get a lot of gratitude watching these guys try to perfect their trade. I really, really, really do. And when I told them I wanted to do this, I said, What do you think? None of them had been talked into doing it. They jumped at it, because they all want to be good.”

It will last through Saturday and he plans to hold a similar session in June for the group.

Specific to Froholdt, he missed all of last season due to a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason, but is expected to compete for one of the backup spots on the interior line this summer. Since he missed so much time last season, this is a great way to try and make up for some of the time missed.
