Following the Patriots beating the Falcons in Super Bowl LI, Michael Bennett, who was there supporting his brother Martellus, was accused of pushing and injuring an elderly, paraplegic woman who was working the game as he was trying to get on the field afterwards.
On Wednesday, those charges were dropped.
According to the Houston Chronicle, prosecutors dismissed the charge of injury to the elderly against Bennett.
"We dismissed this case in the interest of justice. After looking at all the evidence, this was the right thing to do," Vivian King, chief of staff to District Attorney Kim Ogg, said.
Michael Bennett was traded from the Eagles to the Patriots last month and reportedly got a raise earlier this week. His brother Martellus is retired.
