FOXBORO -- Most people would agree Jaguars safety Barry Church's hit on Rob Gronkowski was deserving of a flag, but not Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler Jr.

“I think they were terrible calls," he said.

When asked specifically what he was referring to, he said Church's hit on Gronkowski at the end of the first half.

“The hit. It’s a physical sport," Fowler Jr. said. "I know he’s Gronk and everything like that, but it’s the playoffs. It’s the AFC championship. Let us play.”

Gronkowski suffered a concussion on the play and did not return to the game.

New England came from 10 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the Jaguars, 24-20 to advance to Super Bowl LII.

“At the end of the day, they just made more plays than us," Fowler Jr. said. "We have to take our hats off to them. They won the game.”
