Julian Edelman, like many others, has raved about Cam Newton's energy each and every day.
But, what about working with him? What is that like?
Edelman joined The Greg Hill Show Friday morning and was asked how Newton handles when the two may not be on the same page when it comes to running a route, timing, etc.
"I think it's an open forum with him," he said. "'Hey, what do you see here, what do you see there.' I have played a lot of football in this league too, and he's played a lot of football. It's more of a team — 'What do you see here? I think here is this, that.' It's pretty cool, I guess."
The 34-year-old revealed Newton calls him, "Highway 11."
Edelman also touched on the energy, which he said comes from an enjoyment of the game.
"He just has a good energy about him," he said. "He's very energetic and has a lot of energy to him. He makes it fun. He's always in a pretty good mood from the time that he's been here. I can't speak on any other place or this that, but from what I have seen and what I have learned, he seems like a guy who loves football, has an energy about him and enjoys it. He enjoys football."
The Patriots will hold an in-stadium, game-like practice Friday afternoon.
