Julian Edelman has been on the Patriots injury report for virtually the entire season, most recently with knee/shoulder injuries.
The veteran wideout has been clearly limited the past few weeks, especially in Week 15 against the Bengals, but looked a little better against Buffalo in Week 16.
Appearing on The Greg Hill Show Thursday, Edelman gave a positive update heading into Wild Card Weekend and the game Saturday against the Titans.
"I feel good. That is that," he said. "I feel better than I have in the last few weeks and I feel good enough to go out and compete at a high level."
Edelman finished the year with 100 catches for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns. With that being said, he's only recorded 10 catches for 107 yards the last three games.
The Patriots missed out on a first-round bye because of the Week 17 loss to the Dolphins, but Edelman said the attitude hasn't changed inside the locker room.
"I think the mood is good," he said. "We have everything that we want to accomplish ahead of us. It's one of those things where not everything goes your way and this is a learning experience. The teams can go two directions from here: we can put our tail in our legs and do that, or you can bow up, no sniveling as I was always taught, nobody cares and go out and fight and play football. That is what we're going to do."
Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. on Saturday.
