Kyle Van Noy acknowledges Patriots heard Bills trash talk heading into Week 4 meeting

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Typically, we hear how the Patriots ignore the noise.

Well, that didn't appear to be the case this week when it came to Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins.

During the week, Dawkins was asked about the Patriots' success on defense to start the year, and he noted they haven't played the Bills yet.

"It's really all about us. We don't care what they've done the games before because they haven't played us yet," Dawkins said. "Once they play us and if it doesn't change then that's when ya'll could start talking."

Apparently word got to Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy, which came out when he was asked about his forced fumble in the win.

"Just wanted to make sure Dawkins knew who we were," he said.

Later on in the interview, Van Noy was asked a follow-up on what he had said earlier.

"If someone said they didn't know who you are after what we've been doing, would you be like, 'What have you been watching?'" he said.

Van Noy finished the game with eight tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in the 16-10 win.

So, did Van Noy use Dawkins' words as motivation?

"Just smile. Look at the score and what we did on defense," he said.

The Patriots are now 4-0 for the fifth time in the Bill Belichick era.
