FOXBOROUGH -- The following Patriots players are inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins: quarterback Cody Kessler, running back Damien Harris, cornerback Jason McCourty, defensive tackle Byron Cowart, offensive lineman Jermaine Eleumunor, tight end Ryan Izzo and safety Terrence Brooks.
This means Sony Michel (illness), Marcus Cannon (ankle) and Jonathan Jones (groin) are all active after being listed as questionable.
Kessler, Harris, Cowart, Eleumunor and Izzo are all healthy inactives.
McCourty's groin has been an issue for the last month or so, as even in the games he's played in he's had to come out after a short period. Brooks' groin popped up on the injury report late in the week and this will be his first game missed of the season. Joejuan Williams likely will see more playing time with both players in the secondary out.
Tackle Korey Cunningham is active for the first time since Week 8. This could mean Cannon is on a short leash and the team will be cautious with him. Cunningham and Marshall Newhouse are the backup tackles.
Harris is out again, which means he will have only been active for two games over the course of his rookie season.
The Patriots will clinch a first-round bye with a win.
