Martellus and Michael Bennett hopped on Bill Simmons' podcast this week, which was very entertaining to say the least.
Both players shared some great stories from over the years in the NFL and specfically about the Patriots for Martellus.
He said returning to the Patriots has come up even though he was released by the team last month, which saved them $6.5 million against the cap.
"I mean, yeah," Martellus said. "It came up in conversation."
He also shared how he and Tom Brady still text a good amount and the two bonded over home decor.
"Me and Tom connected over home decor," he said. "We both like interior decoration. … Tom is a great guy. There's not many guys I've played with that I will talk to [after football]. Tom will text me — mostly we DM each other on the IG. He will text me out of the blue and be like, 'What are you doing Marty?' He always knows I am doing cool [expletive].
"I think he lives vicariously through me sometimes."
