Everyone has a thought and an opinion on Tom Brady going to Tampa Bay this offseason.

Former Patriots tackle Matt Light shared his during a recent appearance on the NFL Network.

“It’s mind boggling,” Light said. "Being here, we still live in Foxborough and being around the guys, and knowing the media here locally, I think everybody understood that this was a possibility that Tom would be leaving. But no one thought that he would go to Tampa Bay. Matter of fact, most people were holding on to hope he would stay here in New England."

With that being said, Brady's former teammate thinks the Buccaneers will get the quarterback at his best, especially with a talented cast around him.

“I think what you’re gonna see will be Tom Brady at his best,” Light said. “When you guys would give him a hard time on the field at practice, it elevated everything that he did. You guys knew that if you got underneath his skin, yeah maybe you could make him make a few mistakes .... but what it always did was it elevated his game.

"There’s a lot of doubters. There are a lot of haters. There always will be. Tom is gonna use that to come out on fire, and that’s how I see it. I see him utilizing a guy like Gronk that he has a lot of faith in. He knows that he’s gonna be where he needs him to be, so he’s got an easy outlet any time he needs to get rid of the ball. He’s got a guy who can make big plays. I don’t they’re going to ask Gronk to go out there and be the lead blocker. ... I think they’re going to take care of him. They’re going to ask him to stretch the field.

“I think he’s got a lot of other receivers that understand the system down there and they understand what the coaches have asked them to do. I think you’re just gonna see the best of what Tom Brady brings to any organization.”

Brady and Tampa Bay currently have an over/under of nine wins.
