FOXBORO -- When Matthew Slater walked to the podium for his press conference in advance of the AFC championship, his t-shirt drew a lot of attention.
It read "New England vs. Everybody," and Slater said he was given the shirt to wear by a member of the team.
"I was given this by our equipment staff on the way in here," he said. "I was told I needed to wear this to the fancy press conference today."
Added Slater: "I just follow orders. I am a yes man."
It's worth noting these are available in the Patriots pro shop and appears to be a marketing tactic by the team.
Slater was also asked about why the Patriots don't participate in any trash-talk, and he gave the perfect Patriot answer.
"I'll pose a question at you. Why should we have to?" he said.
