Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts went 3-for-4 Wednesday night in Game 2 of the World Series and received plenty of attention from the media afterwards.
But, what Betts did later in the night was what deserved the most attention, even if he didn't want it.
According to Lou Merloni, around 1 a.m. Betts left trays of food for the homeless outside of the Boston Public Library. This was just a little less than two hours after the Red Sox went up 2-0 against the Dodgers in the World Series.
Not only does the 26-year-old get things on the field, he also gets them off the field.
Little birdie told me an amazing story. This was the scene last night around 1am out in front of the Boston Library. Trays and trays of food fed the homeless. The man that delivered the food wasn't looking for attention or praise BUT deserves it. God Bless you Mookie Betts pic.twitter.com/4Ox7O0edo4
