Surprise, surprise, Josh Norman is pretty confident heading into the 2020 season.

Norman, who has been very outspoken over the years, spoke to TMZ Sports about his new team, the Bills, and their chances in the AFC East. He believes they would have been able to compete with the Patriots even if Tom Brady was still their quarterback.

“The craziest thing is, I will tell you this, with or without him being there, we was going to be a force to be reckoned with,” Norman said. "Coming in, I know the philosophy of the head coach and the GM already. Mindset-wise, it didn’t matter who was at the quarterback position for the opposing team. It was just going to be about us and not about nobody else.

"That’s what I think the mindset going into this year is all about — separating yourself from the pack. Going out there and doing your thing, worrying about you, and don’t concern yourself with anybody else. I think that conversation was pretty much keyed in when we first talked. It was refreshing to here.”

After four years with the Redksins, Norman signed a one-year deal with the Bills this offseason, which reunites him with Sean McDermott, who was his defensive coordinator in Carolina for the first four years of his NFL career.

Norman and the Bills will take on the Patriots Nov. 1 in Buffalo and then in Week 16 on Monday Night Football in New England.
