Arizona State wide out N'Keal Harry got what he wanted.
The wide receiver was drafted No. 32 overall by the Patriots last Thursday night and in an interview with Patriots.com, he said he wished and prayed that would happen.
"Draft night, I kept seeing people pass on me, I wasn't seeing my name so I was getting kind of nervous," he said. "On that No. 32 pick, I was just wishing, praying that New England would pick me."
Harry spent draft night with his family in Arizona, which included his grandmother who is very special to him. The two of them came to the United States together from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and she was the one who raised him, as his mom stayed back on the island.
"I told myself for the longest [time] I wouldn't cry on draft day, but once I hugged my grandmother I heard her crying and it just started for me," he said. "Her getting this moment and having her with me and being able to share it with me, it was really special to me."
His mom was able to come to the U.S. for the draft.
Harry is a physical receiver with tremendous hands and figures to be in the mix for the No. 2/3 receiver on the roster once the season begins.
