NFL free agency is in full swing and one of the best punters available -- Ryan Allen -- remains unsigned. The Patriots haven't signed another punter, so it would appear he's still on their radar.
It's a little odd he's still a free agent, but maybe there's a reason why.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Allen has changed agents. He's now represented by Chris Gittings of OneWest Sports after he was previously with Sean Stellato, who reps a few current Patriots including Brandon King and Obi Melifonwu.
Allen turned 29 years old last month and had a solid season with the Patriots, especially in the postseason.
It would seem like the Patriots would like to bring back both specialists -- Allen and Stephen Gostkowski, but Gostkowski too remains unsigned at this point.
