While no one was questioning it actually happening, Cam Newton is officially a member of the Patriots.
The Patriots signing Newton was on the NFL's transaction wire Wednesday making the move official and also means the QB passed his physical.
Newton reportedly signed a one-year, incentive-laden deal with the team that is worth up to $7.5 million, but less than $1 million is guaranteed.
The quarterback will be competing with second-year player Jarrett Stidham for the starting job and has already been working with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu in California. Also, according to his latest Instagram, he is getting into the playbook.
