Apparently, the Patriots will see some familiar teams and faces this summer.
According to Nick Underhill of The Athletic, the Patriots will travel to Detroit and Tennessee, and then host Carolina and the New York Giants during the preseason next year. This could potentially set up joint practices with either the Titans or Lions considering Bill Belichick's relationship with Mike Vrabel and Matt Patricia. These would be on the road, not at Gillette Stadium.
The Patriots did not hold any last summer, but that was the first time since 2011 where that wasn't the case.
The exact order of the games are unclear, although it is worth noting the Patriots have taken on the Giants in the last 14 preseason finales.
[UPDATE 2:10 p.m.]: The NFL has announced the schedule. In order it is: at Lions, at Titans, vs. Panthers, vs. Giants.
