FOXBORO -- Injuries will not be an excuse for the Patriots this week.
The team removed three players -- Devin McCourty, Cordarrelle Patterson and Dwayne Allen -- from their injury report on Thursday leaving just one player, defensive end Deatrich Wise (ankle). He was a limited participant in practice.
McCourty was limited Wednesday with a concussion, so him coming off means he will play on Sunday. The same likely goes for Patterson, who missed the regular-season finale with a knee injury.
For the Chargers, running back Melvin Gordon (knee) returned to practice, but was limited.
New England will host Los Angeles Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m.
