For the first time in several years last summer, the Patriots did not have any joint practices, but that could change this year.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots are hopeful that a few 2019 preseason requests at the NFL owners meetings to be paired with teams now led former members of the organization would be granted. This could potentially lead to joint practices.
Reiss notes the Dolphins and Brian Flores are likely out of the mix because of them being in the AFC East, but the Lions with Matt Patricia and the Titans with Mike Vrabel are both certainly in play.
Last year, the NFL preseason opponents were released this week with the exact dates coming a few weeks later.
