Don't count the Patriots out on defensive tackle Allen Bailey just yet.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the organization remains in contact with Bailey, who is also considering a return to the Chiefs. The 30-year-old visited the Patriots at the start of free agency.
Bailey was the Chiefs' third-round pick in 2011 and has been a starter for the last five years. In 16 games last season, he totaled 38 tackles and six sacks.
Over his eight-year career, he has a total of 19.5 sacks.
If signed, Bailey would team up with Lawrence Guy and Mike Pennel on the interior defensive line.
