Patriots special teamer Brandon King reportedly signs two-year extension

It looks like Brandon King is part of the Patriots' plans for the foreseeable future.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the team has signed King to a two-year extension. He was entering the second year of a two-year deal that he signed last offseason.

King is listed as a linebacker, but all of his contributions come on special teams as he's emerged as one of the leaders and best players on the unit. With the number of special teamers on the Patriots roster going into the summer, this a good sign that King will be on the 53-man roster.

The Auburn product has played all four of his NFL seasons with the Patriots.
