Recapping Patriots' Day 2 trades, resetting draft picks for Day 3

It was a busy Friday night for the Patriots in the second and third rounds of the NFL Draft.

New England went into the night with five picks and ultimately made five picks, but moved all around the board, including trading up several times.

First, the Patriots traded into the end of the second round to select Michigan EDGE Josh Uche. They traded picks No. 71 and 98 to the Ravens in exchange for No. 60, where they took Uche, and 129.

Then, they traded up a few spots in the third round to No. 91 overall in a deal with the Raiders. New England gave up pick Nos. 100, 139 and 172 to acquire pick Nos. 91, where it selected UCLA tight end Devin Asiasi, and 159.

Finally, the Patriots snuck into the end of the third round by trading with the Jets to take Virginia Tech tight end Dalton Keene at No. 101. They gave up picks No. 125, 129 and a 2021 sixth-rounder to do so.

The five players the Patriots ultimately selected were safety Kyle Dugger, Uche, EDGE Anfernee Jennings, Asiasi and Keene.

After all that, the Patriots will go into the final day with six selections, but none in Round 4, although that could always change.

Here are the six picks, as of early Saturday. Round 4 gets started at noon.
