Maybe there is a lot of buzz with this Patriots team.

In Boston, the Patriots-Texans Week 1 matchup got a 34.8 household rating, 69 market share and averaged 1,416,900 local viewers, which ranks second in viewership among 17 season-opening games since 2002, even beating out seven primetime games in that time.

It was good for the most-watched 1 p.m. Patriots opening game in the Nielsen LPM era (since 2002).

The Patriots will travel to Jacksonville next Sunday afternoon (4:25 p.m.) for a rematch of last year's AFC championship game.
