FOXBOROUGH -- The NFL's investigation of the Patriots continues.
Roughly a month after the Patriots admitted to videotaping the Bengals sideline and field during a game against the Browns, the NFL has not issued a penalty. The team admitted to wrongdoing, but maintains it did not involve football operations and it was a video production crew getting video for a "Do Your Job" feature on an advance scout.
The NFL released a statement to ESPN updating the status on Saturday.
"The investigation is ongoing and there has been no discussion of any potential discipline," it reads. "Any suggestion of potential discipline or a timeline on an announcement is pure speculation."
Earlier in the day, ESPN reported a penalty would be issued in the next two weeks.
According to the Washington Post, as of now there's been nothing to say Bill Belichick and football ops were involved in any way.
As for a penalty, it likely will be similar to gameday infractions of the past, which has been a fine and loss of draft pick.
