Chris Hogan is back in the AFC East.

The former Patriots wide receiver has signed with the Jets, according to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero. This is a great move for Hogan and his family as he can be close to them on Long Island. When he was with the Patriots, Hogan would drive back and forth on the team's off day.

After being in New England from 2016-18, Hogan played last season with Carolina, but only played in seven games and had eight catches. Hogan has now played for every AFC East team as he started with Miami, but was one of the last cuts of training camp in 2012 and then really began his playing career in Buffalo.

Hogan's best year came in 2016 when he finished with 38 catches for 680 yards and four touchdowns. He made several big catches in playoffs games with the Patriots and had solid chemistry with Tom Brady.

The Jets are getting a solid veteran who younger wide receivers can learn a lot from.
