Once again, Josh McDaniels has received quite a bit of interest from teams who are seeking a new head coach.
The Giants, Browns and Panthers have all shown interest and reportedly have been granted permission to interview McDaniels for their vacant head-coaching positions. Normally, he would interview this week with the Patriots having a first-round bye, but that is not the case this year. New England will host the Titans Saturday night in the Wild Card round.
So, when will he interview? According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, McDaniels will conduct his interviews Friday, Jan. 10.
If the Patriots lose Saturday against the Titans their season will be over, but if they win they would play next Sunday in Kansas City. McDaniels' day would wrap up relatively early on Friday giving him plenty of time to interview with any, or all, of the three teams interested.
McDaniels said on a conference call earlier this week he is 100 percent focused on the Titans.
