Report: ESPN going after Tony Romo

NFL free agency isn't just a big deal with the players, it's also a thing for some of the broadcasters as well.

CBS' Tony Romo will be a free agent in a few weeks when his deal with the network runs out and it seems like ESPN will be making a run at the former NFL quarterback.

According to Michael McCarthy of FrontOfficeSports.com, ESPN is prepared to offer Romo a deal that would pay him between $10-14 million a year.

If this were to happen, Romo would likely replace Booger McFarland on Monday Night Football.

CBS, who took a chance on Romo a few years ago, likely won't give him up very easily, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out over the coming weeks and months.
