Add Nate Solder to the list.
The former Patriots left tackle announced via Twitter Wednesday he is opting out of the 2020 season. Solder is the Giants' player rep. He cited family reasons, including his son's ongoing battle with cancer, his own bout with cancer, and he and his wife having another baby boy this spring.
"I spoke with Nate this morning," Giants coach Joe Judge said via statement. "We were together in New England, obviously, and he has always been a thoughtful, conscientious person. Ultimately, he made this decision because it is the right thing for him and his family. We support Nate and Lexi and their children Hudson, Charlie and Emerson. Our concern is for their health and well-being."
Solder was entering his third season with the Giants after the first six years of his career in New England.
