Detroit is now turning into Patriots Midwest.
After agreeing to sign Jamie Collins earlier in the week, defensive lineman Danny Shelton is signing a two-year deal worth $8 million with the Lions, per his representation Rosenhaus Sports. Patricia also has Trey Flowers, who signed with Detroit last offseason.
Shelton had a much better second season with the Patriots in 2019 when he recorded 61 tackles and three sacks.
Defensive line now begins one of the Patriots' bigger needs on the roster, as right now it only really has Lawrence Guy and Adam Butler.
