As expected, Julian Edelman had offseason shoulder surgery.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Edelman had the surgery last week, but it isn't expected to be a lengthy rehab. He should be ready for the team's offseason workout program. It was reported last week that he played through a separated AC joint during the season.
In addition, it's expected Edelman will need a procedure done on his knee.
Edelman didn't miss a game last season despite being on the injury report virtually the entire year with various ailments.
The 33-year-old finished with 100 catches for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns.
