The Patriots have made their second addition via free agency.
According to a source, former Tampa Bay defensive tackle Beau Allen has agreed to a two-year deal worth up to $8 million with the Patriots.
The news was first reported by Adam Caplan of ESPN.
Allen is a big man -- 6-foot-3, 327 pounds -- so he will give the Patriots another player on the interior defensive line. After spending the first four years of his his career with the Eagles, including winning Super Bowl LII, he's spent the last two years with the Buccaneers.
In 13 games last season, he had 10 tackles.
