While the Patriots locked up Nick Caserio for the future with a new contract this offseason, another key front office member could be departing the organization.
According to MMQB's Albert Breer, Monti Ossenfort, the Patriots' director of college scouting, will likely be on the move in the coming weeks. He notes Ossenfort had been blocked from interviewing for the Texans GM job over the last two years, but did interview for the Browns GM job earlier this year.
The report also notes how due to COVID-19 there won't be numerous changes in scouting departments like most May's, but since Ossenfort has been in his role for so long and is well-known and respected around the league, it shouldn't be an issue going to another organization.
New England did add former Browns and Packers executive Eliot Wolf to the front office this offseason, but is unclear exactly what his role is.
Ossenfort has been the Patriots' director of college scouting since 2014, but served as the assistant director before that. He's been with the Patriots for roughly 15 years.
