Patriots reportedly host 4 players for workouts, including 2 tight ends

The Patriots have a few open roster spots and it appears they are looking at some potential options to fill them.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots had four players at the facility Sunday. Those players were offensive lineman Ben Brade, tight ends Paul Butler and Alex Ellis, as well as defensive tackle Greg Gilmore.

The two tight ends are worth keeping an eye on because of the lack of depth on the roster.

Ellis, who came into the league in 2016, has bounced around between five teams and has appeared in 11 total games. Butler has bounced back and forth between the Lions and Raiders since 2018, but has yet to appear in a regular season game.

The Patriots will hold their first full-padded practice of the summer Monday.
