Patriots reportedly make addition to coaching staff

The Patriots have a few openings on their coaching staff to fill this offseason, and it appears they have added a new coach to help do that.

According to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe, Jedd Fisch will be joining the coaching staff in a yet to be determined offensive capacity.

Fisch has been around the league a long time, most recently serving as the assistant offensive coordinator with the Rams in 2019. In 2018, he was their senior offensive assistant. He was the Jaguars’ offensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014 and the Seahawks’ quarterbacks coach in 2010. He also coached wide receivers at Michigan in 2015 and 2016, and also with the Broncos in 2008.

In addition, he's spent time with the Ravens and Texans in the NFL, as well as a few college programs.

Clearly, he's been around awhile and has a ton of experience. It's also worth noting he's attended some Patriots training camp sessions in the past, so he has some ties to Bill Belichick.

The Patriots need a new wide receivers coach after Joe Judge went to New York this offseason, so maybe he steps in there, or perhaps they give him a unique titl
