Report: Ted Karras believed to have suffered MCL sprain vs. Texans

The Patriots' offensive line took another hit Sunday in the loss to the Texans.

Center Ted Karras left the game in the second half with a knee injury and almost immediately was ruled out. But, less than 24 hours later, the news appears not as bad as it could have been.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, based on initial tests Karras suffered a MCL sprain. He will have a MRI Monday, but as of now there's hope he can return this season.

Veteran James Ferentz took his place.

Karras went into the year as the backup, but was forced into a starting role with David Andrews landing on injured reserve before the year began. Before getting hurt, Karras had played every snap.
