There are a ton of rumors this time of year relating to big name free agents, especially Tom Brady. And while they all aren't the same, the general theme with the 42-year-old quarterback is Brady does not appear to have a very big market.
A day after NBC Sports' Chris Simms said his decision would come down to the Buccaneers and Patriots, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport mentioned the Chargers, Buccaneers and Patriots as the teams who will be interested.
“There are some teams we know are going to be interested,” Rapoport said Monday on NFL Network. “The Los Angeles Chargers, it’s really not been a surprise. We’ve talked about it since the Super Bowl. They’re expected to make a bit of a run at Tom Brady. The Tampa Bay Bucs are another team that have some interest in Brady. Other than that, it seems to be the Patriots who have the most interest.”Rapoport added he does not believe the Raiders, one of the teams mentioned a ton over the last few months, will have interest.
Could a team swoop in at the last minute? Absolutely, but as of Monday morning it does not seem like there are a ton of teams interested in signing Brady.
