Each year, NFL players vote on the best players in the league and then the results are unveiled in a series on the NFL Network prior to the next season.

The series for 2018 wrapped up Wednesday night and it had Tom Brady ranked No. 6 overall. Brady finished the year passing for over 4,300 yards, while adding 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Of course, Brady led the Patriots to a Super Bowl win over the Rams.

Here's who finished ahead of the Patriots quarterback: Todd Gurley (No. 5), Patrick Mahomes (No. 4), Khalil Mack (No. 3), Drew Brees (No. 2) and Aaron Donald (No. 1).

Brady being No. 6 ends his two-year run at No. 1. Also, it is the first time he has ever been ranked outside the top five in the nine years the NFL Network has done this series.

Other Patriots players making the cut in the series were: Stephon Gilmore (22), Devin McCourty (89) and Julian Edelman (90).
