This is a big season for Patriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry.

The second-year player missed half the season in 2019 and never really got caught up.

The first-round pick finished the season with just 12 catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns in seven games. Because of that, the Arizona State product could feel some pressure heading into 2020, but he would call it more excitement.

"I would use excitement more than pressure," he said on a video conference Friday afternoon. "I'm really looking forward to getting out there and doing my part to help the team. I just want to do everything I can and I want to play to the standards I know I can play at. To me, it's more excitement than anything."

Harry has the chance to be a big contributor since as of now he is the No. 2 receiver on the roster behind Julian Edelman. While he missed some time last week, Harry has shown the ability to make plays with his athleticsm and big frame throughout the course of training camp.

With that being said, he admitted it was tough missing time.

"It was definitely tough just because we only have, what, two weeks now until the first game," Harry said. "That's something that you never want to happen. But life throws things at you so you got to adjust."

As for Cam Newton giving him "Doughboy" as a nickname, he didn't really want to get into it.

"I don't really know too much about it. Cam has nicknames for everybody, so that just ended up being mine, I guess," Harry said. "It's all jokes. It's all love at the end of the day."

Harry and the Patriots will be off Saturday after a full week of work.
