N'Keal Harry present for Patriots walkthrough following injury scare Tuesday

Patriots rookie wide receiver N'Keal Harry briefly left Tuesday's joint practice with the Lions, but returned for the end of the session, according to reporters on the scene. It was described as a hamstring issue and everyone knows how tough those can sometimes be to deal with and can linger.

There was some good news Wednesday when Harry was on the field for the final joint session with the Lions, which was essentially a walkthrough. While he was on the field, he didn't participate along with many other Patriots starters.

A bunch of Patriots starters -- including Brady, Gilmore, Hightower, Van Noy, Bennett, McCourtys, Chung, Collins, Michel, White -- aren't participating in this quarter-speed walkthrough. N'Keal Harry's sitting out, too. I'd be surprised if any of them played tomorrow night.

This seems to be a good indication Harry likely won't play in Thursday's preseason opener. It's unclear whether this would be different if he didn't suffer the injury Tuesday, but with all the other players sitting out it really shouldn't be viewed as a big deal.

Tom Brady also does not seem likely to play, which has been the case for the last three preseason openers.
