FOXBOROUGH -- Despite having the No. 1 ranked defense in the NFL, the Patriots do not have a single defensive player leading the Pro Bowl voting at their respective positions in numbers released Wednesday.
In fact, the Patriots only have two players leading their respective positions -- punter Jake Bailey and special teamer Matthew Slater.
Stephon Gilmore, Jamie Collins and Devin McCourty all feel like prime candidates, but Marcus Peters is the leading cornerback vote getter, T.J. Watt at outside linebacker and then Minkah Fitzpatrick at free safety.
It's also worth noting Tom Brady is the ninth-leading vote getter at the quarterback position. Lamar Jackson leads that, and also has received the most votes of any player.
Fan voting will continue online and on web-enabled mobile phones at NFL.com/ProBowlVote until Thursday, December 12.
