Although Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski weren't at the start of the Patriots offseason workout program on Monday, another big-name client of Alex Guerrero was there.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Julian Edelman was present. He also notes Edelman has the largest workout bonus on the roster -- $500,000.
It seems Brady's biggest reason for not attending at least part of the offseason program is his commitment to Guerrero, who was banned from Gillette Stadium by Bill Belichick last season. Edelman also works with him, even publicizing it on Instagram last week.
This is also good news as it relates to the receiver's recovery following tearing his ACL in the preseason last summer. It would appear he's on track to be on the field for training camp.
Other prominent players seen in pictures at Monday's workout were Devin McCourty, Malcolm Mitchell, Chris Hogan, Matthew Slater, Patrick Chung, Trey Flowers, Kyle Van Noy, Brian Hoyer and more.
