FOXBORO -- On Thursday night, the Red Sox beat the Astros in Game 5 of the ALCS to advance to the World Series.

To open his Friday press conference, Patriots coach Bill Belichick was asked about the accomplishment.

"How 'bout them?" he said.

Belichick was also asked if he has any advice for the team heading into the World Series.

"I don't think they need any," he said. "Whatever they need to do they can do. Hit, pitch, run, play defense, take pitches. They are good."

The Patriots coach is good friends with former Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa, who is now a special assistant to Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski. He's attended a few games this season dating back to spring training.
