PITTSBURGH -- The following players are inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers: defensive end Keionta Davis, cornerback Duke Dawson, defensive end Derek Rivers, safety Obi Melifonwu, defensive tackle Danny Shelton, tight end Jacob Hollister and offensive lineman James Ferentz.
This is the third straight healthy scratch for Shelton, which is somewhat surprising given the Patriots' run defense issues the last few weeks, but Pittsburgh may not be looking to run the ball. Dawson still hasn't played in a game since being activated off injured reserve during the bye week.
Melifonwu is inactive after being active last week in Miami, but not playing a single snap.
Despite being added to the injury report Saturday with a thigh injury, linebacker Elandon Roberts is active.
Also, tight end Dwayne Allen will be active for the first time since Nov. 11. He has been out with a knee injury.
For the Steelers, running back James Conner is inactive. But, that isn't a surprise as he's doubtful.
