FOXBORO -- The following Patriots players are inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs: defensive tackle Malcom Brown, cornerback J.C. Jackson, defensive end Keionta Davis, defensive end Geneo Grissom, offensive lineman Cole Croston, offensive lineman Ted Karras and defensive end John Simon.

Brown is the biggest surprise, although it is worth noting he was questionable with a knee injury suffered last week against the Colts. Simon was also injured against the Colts. The Patriots appear to be daring the Chiefs to run the ball.

This means Josh Gordon, Chris Hogan, Rob Gronkowski and Sony Michel are all active after being listed as questionable.

Also, defensive end Derek Rivers is active for the first time since Week 3 against Detroit. This is just the second game he's played in all season.
