Patriots second-year wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has been limited over the last couple of practices, and now we know why.
According to NESN's Doug Kyed, Meyers has a shoulder injury. The NC State product suffered the injury last week when he came down awkwardly after diving for a ball. The injury is not considered serious and he should be back participating in full next week.
Meyers being on the field has allowed for several other receivers to get more reps, such as Gunner Olszewski and Devin Ross. Both players have made the most of their opportunities and if the season started today, these two players would likely make the team over him.
It will be important for Meyers to make the most of his chances when he does return as he certainly is on the roster bubble.
Teams need to get down to 53 players by next Saturday.
