Jonathan Jones takes lesson from Bill Belichick when asked about having hardest NFL schedule in 2020

Based on opponent winning percentage from last year, the Patriots have the hardest schedule in the league this coming season.

It includes games against the 49ers, Chiefs, Ravens, Seahawks, as well as back-to-back games in Los Angeles in December.

Speaking on a video conference Tuesday, cornerback Jonathan Jones was asked about the difficult schedule and his answer would make Bill Belichick proud.

"First of all, I guess I am conditioned by Bill (Belichick)," he said. "I have been here going on five years, so I am conditioned. Every year is a new year. Every team is a new team. Everybody has changes. Their winning percentages from last year kind of don't matter. Teams can go 0-6 to start and then (get) better. Just take it one day at a time and I think the first thing we have to do is get into training camp and figure out who we are as a team.

"That is where it is really going to start, and like I said, teams are going to evolve as the season goes on, as every year. We have to figure out who we are first and the other teams don't matter at this point."

Like the rest of the league, the Patriots are conducting virtual meetings and workouts with facilities closed.

As of now the NFL is planning on the regular season starting as planned, which will see the Patriots hosting the Dolphins Sept. 13.
