FOXBORO -- It seems almost certain the Patriots will loose both coordinators this offseason, and now also potentially their linebackers coach.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen, Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak has turned down the chance for a second interview with the Cardinals for their head-coaching job, which means Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores is now even more in play than before. He interviewed during the Patriots' bye week.
Munchak was one of two to reportedly get requested for second interviews. Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo was the other.
The longer Arizona goes without hiring anyone, the more intriguing the Flores possibility becomes. Flores has been with the Patriots since 2004 and has been the linebackers coach since 2016.
