The Patriots-Navy connection runs deep with Bill Belichick's ties and also long-snapper Joe Cardona.
The connection added another chapter this week.
On Thursday, Navy flew to Arizona for the Liberty Bowl against Kansas State on the Patriots' airplane. Since the Patriots are at home this week against Miami, the plane was not needed. Navy and Kansas State will play in the game on New Year's Eve.
Navy is 10-2 on the year.
