FOXBORO -- Like some of the Boston area, Tom Brady didn't stay up for Game 5 of the ALCS against the Astros, but he was happy with the outcome.
"I didn't," Brady said Friday. "But I'm glad they won, that was pretty cool."
The 41-year-old is looking forward to Game 1 of the World Series being on Boston Tuesday night.
"That'll be pretty cool," he said. "Boston's got it pretty good right now, got a lot of good teams."
Added Brady: "It's been a lot of fun, I think for all of us, for all of these teams, to kind of be a part of winning in your own team but being there to kind of celebrate everyone else's wins too. I've had a lot of friends on all those teams over the years and it's great to see everyone playing well. To see the Red Sox doing what they're doing, that was – when I first got here in 2000, they had some good teams and really broke through, just like we did and it's been a lot of fun ever since."
Brady isn't the only Patriots player looking forward to the World Series, as Julian Edelman is hoping for a Red Sox-Dodgers matchup.
