Perhaps this may be the year Josh McDaniels leaves New England.
Appearing on the NBC pregame show Sunday afternoon, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio said the Patriots are "preparing for McDaniels to leave” for either Green Bay or Cleveland. McDaniels reportedly interviewed with the Packers Friday, but there hasn't been any known contact with the Browns, at least as of now.
Florio then brought up an interesting name to replace him -- current USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. After recently accepting the job, the school is reportedly blocking him from interviewing with any NFL teams, but he could potentially quit on his own and go from there.
Kingsbury was drafted by the Patriots in 2003, but was waived the following season. He's most known for his success as a head coach at Texas Tech, beginning in 2013, but was fired after this season.
