The Patriots are bringing back another core special teams player.
According to multiple reports, the Patriots have re-signed special teamer/linebacker Marquis Flowers to a one-year deal worth up to $2.55 million.
Flowers was traded to the Patriots from the Bengals at the start of last season and he played in all 16 games, starting two. Due to injuries, the 25-year-old saw a lot of time at outside linebacker in addition to his special teams duties. He finished the season with 23 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
He was a sixth-round pick by the Bengals in the 2014 NFL draft.
Flowers joins a long list of special teams players the Patriots have signed this offseason including Nate Ebner, Matthew Slater and Brandon King.
